‘ETO has employed Di as Scenic Artist on 9 shows over 5 seasons. Whether we have filled her studio with full scale opera sets, asked her to reproduce intricate tapestries onto gauze or provide detailed finish to props and furniture her work has always been of a consistently high standard and delivered, with good cheer and without fail, ahead of schedule.
I think Di works very well with designers to interpret scale models, often providing many samples until a particular finish is achieved and then works with a practical efficiency to replicate it to full scale.
Di is easily bribed with a packet of biscuits but she does make a damn fine cup of tea.’
