Trompe l’oeil portraits and woodgrained panelling – private house, Kingston, 2014

The client wanted some mock ancestor portraits painted above some trompe l’oeil walnut panelling to help disguise a door in his dining room. The portraits were painted off site on calico and then glued to the wall. A ‘shadow’ was then painted around them to complete the deception. A definite favourite commission!
